After three matches at the Ikenne Centre of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Youth League, Isah Ibrahim of Ikorodu City is leading the race for the zone’s top scorer with three goals.

Other players vying for the group’s golden boot include Akinocchio Mervielle of Remo Stars, Mubaraq Hamed, and Adebayo Oni of Kwara United, who each have two goals.

Upon resuming after a day off, three matches were played on Thursday for Matchday 3.
In the opening game of the day, Kwara United made a bold move to contest for one of the two spots from the group, defeating Shooting Stars 3-0. The second match between Bendel Insurance and Sunshine Stars ended in a goalless draw.

The highlight of the day was the top-of-the-table clash between Remo Stars and Ikorodu City, which lived up to expectations as neither side wanted to be outdone. Ultimately, they shared the points in a goalless stalemate.
