Other players vying for the group’s golden boot include Akinocchio Mervielle of Remo Stars, Mubaraq Hamed, and Adebayo Oni of Kwara United, who each have two goals.

Upon resuming after a day off, three matches were played on Thursday for Matchday 3.
In the opening game of the day, Kwara United made a bold move to contest for one of the two spots from the group, defeating Shooting Stars 3-0. The second match between Bendel Insurance and Sunshine Stars ended in a goalless draw.

The highlight of the day was the top-of-the-table clash between Remo Stars and Ikorodu City, which lived up to expectations as neither side wanted to be outdone. Ultimately, they shared the points in a goalless stalemate.
