Management of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has announced the resumption of train services between Warri and Itakpe (WITS) starting Monday, July 8, 2024.
The services were suspended following a train derailment at the Abraka Railway Station.
In a statement signed and made available on its Facebook official page by the deputy director of public relations, Yakub Mahmood, the NRC informed the public and valued passengers that ticket bookings for WITS can be made online from yesterday or in person at railway stations from today.
“The NRC management deeply regrets any inconvenience caused by the derailment and the subsequent suspension of the WITS services,” Mahmood said.
Passengers are encouraged to plan their travels accordingly and utilise the resumed train services for transportation.
