The Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 3,542 personnel to ensure a hitch-free Christmas and New Year celebrations in the state.

Spokesperson of the Command, Ibrahim Abdullahi said apart from the 44 divisional offices, officers and men were drawn from various departments and units of the Command including undercover personnel to assist in providing adequate security around Christian worship centres, recreational spots and strategic places.

“Additionally, operatives have been mobilised to work in synergy with sister traffic enforcement agencies for seamless and free-flow of traffic while the festive season lasts.

“However, as the Corps maintain 24- hour surveillance and protection of critical infrastructure across nooks and crannies in the state, miscreants are strongly warned to against breach of public peace as defaulters will be made to face full wrath of the law,” Abdullahi warned.
