The Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps,(NSCDC) in Sokoto State at the weekend paraded two bandit kingpins who were terrorising Silame, Binji, Gudu, Tureta and Dange/Shuni local government areas of the state.

Addressing newsmen at the command headquarters in Sokoto,  the state commandant, Muhammad Dada,  said Alhaji Koire and Alhaji Buba are dangerous bandits with over 300 men in their camps.

Muhammad said, “The duo have been terrorising some communities in Silame, Binji, Gudu, Tureta and Dange/Shuni local government areas of the state.

“They are high profile bandits as they operate in Niger Republic and Nigeria. Koire to be specific, severally escaped arrest using magical powers.

“When I got the tip-off of their whereabouts in Silame local government, I personally led my men and after spending two days in the bush, we succeeded in arresting them.

“After their arrest their gangs attempted to bribe us with N10m to secure their freedom.”
