The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), is to decorate the Edo State governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, as the Grand Patron at the 2025 Edo State Journalists Classic Dinner.

The highlight of the event will be the official decoration, to be conducted by the national president of the NUJ, Alhassan Yahya and is expected to attract key stakeholders in the state.

Notable dignitaries expected at the event include Edo State deputy governor, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa; APC national women leader, Dr Mary Idele Alile; and NUJ deputy national president, Comrade Abimbola Oyetunde.

Edo NUJ chairman, Dr Festus Alenkhe, and the secretary, Andy Egbon, confirmed that members of the 15 chapels under the Edo State Council of the NUJ were already mobilising to attend the occasion slated for February 8 which will feature several side attractions.
