Akinpelu fondly called #Mylifeassugar is from Lagelu local government, Ibadan in Oyo state to the family of Mr & Mrs Akinpelu. She attended East Gate Primary School and completed her secondary school at Federal Government Girls College, Oyo. She also attended Houston Community College before proceeding to Lamar University where she earned a degree in nursing but got licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing

She is a passionate believer in the nursing profession, and specifically believes she isn’t called to care for just the human body, but also for communities. Hence the reason she has gained diverse skills and qualifications to care for the human body and communities.

If there is one Nurse in Nigeria who can use her last penny and drop of blood to fight against improper hygiene and health related issues in communities, her name is “Olubukola Mary Akinpelu”.

The Nurse Educator is a quintessential figure in the fight of quality nursing care for Nigerians.
