The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) Kebbi State wing held the 9th State Quadrennial Conference of Delegates in Birnin Kebbi, yesterday. The conference, themed “Embracing the use of technology in increasing teachers and learning outcomes,” is expected to attract top government officials, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and civil society organizations.
The conference is slated to feature prominent personalities, including Comrade Audu Titus Amba, national president of NUT, Comrade Dr. Clinton J. Ikpitibo, Comrade Dr. Segun Raheem, national treasurer of NUT, and Comrade Usman Adamu Isgogo, Kebbi State chairman of NUT.
According to Comrade Usman Adamu Isgogo, the conference aims to discuss ways to improve teachers’ capacity and learning outcomes in the state. “The theme of the conference is very relevant to the current educational landscape in Nigeria,” he said. “We believe that embracing technology will enhance teaching and learning, and ultimately improve the quality of education in our state.”
The conference is also expected to attract government officials from federal and state levels, as well as other unions and stakeholders. Comrade Hambali, representing the national president of NUT, will also be in attendance.
“We are excited to host this conference and look forward to engaging with all stakeholders on the importance of technology in education,” Comrade Isgogo added.
The NUT Kebbi State wing has expressed optimism that the conference will provide a platform for stakeholders to brainstorm on ways to improve the education sector in the state. With the conference theme highly relevant to the current educational landscape, stakeholders are expected to deliberate on how to harness the potential of technology to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
