Former Imo State chief of staff and governorship candidate, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, has revalidated his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and hailed a grassroots empowerment programme in Obingwa, Abia State, as a practical pathway to community development.

Nwosu in a statement released yesterday, said he had revalidated his APC membership through the party’s e-registration at his ward, Eziama Obaire, in Nkwerre local government area, Imo State, urging supporters to follow suit and participate in party activities.

He dismissed rumours of defecting to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), saying “I remain a committed member of the APC. I will not abandon a house I helped to build.”

Nwosu also attended a civic reception and empowerment programme organised by Obingwa West Abia State Constituency member, Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr, where he praised the initiative for delivering tangible benefits to citizens.

He stressed that true governance is measured by visible improvements in citizens’ lives, and called for strategic collaboration to boost development efforts.

“The empowerment event includes the distribution of vehicles, motorcycles, medical equipment, and financial aid to beneficiaries, expected to boost small-scale businesses and healthcare support.

“Top dignitaries, including former Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, and Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa”, Nwosu stated.
