NYCN Appoints Ogban Cross River Caretaker Chair, Plans Elective Congress

The National Executive Council (NEC) of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), led by Amb. Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo, has constituted a nine-member caretaker committee for its Cross River State chapter to be headed by Comrade Great Ogban.

In a press release signed by the President of NYCN, Amb. Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo, he said the constitution of NYCN abhors vacuum.

The statement reads in part;  “The Leadership of the National Executive Council (NEC) having carefully x-rayed the circumstances of the Cross River State Chapter Council, and in line with the provision of our constitution, bothering on automatic dissolution and the need to setup the caretaker committee to avoid vacuum in the leadership of the State Chapter Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That the State Executive Council whose tenure expires yesterday 20th of June, 2024, in line with article ten (10) and other relevant sections is hereby dissolved.

“That a nine (9) member caretaker committee comprising of the underlisted persons is hereby put in place.”
