National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has praised Bauchi State governor, Bala Abdulkadir, for the renovation of the state’s NYSC permanent orientation camp in Wailo, Ganjuwa local government area.
The corps also commended the governor for embarking on the construction of more structures in the camp to make it more conducive for both the corps members and NYSC staff.
The director-general of NYSC, Brig-Gen Yushau Ahmed, gave the commendation in Bauchi during the swearing-in ceremony of the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream 1 corps members deployed to the state.
He explained that out of the 1,600 corps members posted to the state, a total of 979 corps members comprising 492 females and 487 males were successfully registered before the swearing-in ceremony.
Brig Gen Ahmed, represented by the state coordinator of NYSC, Mrs Rifkatu Yakubu, further lauded the Bauchi State government for its unwavering commitment to the realisation of NYSC objectives in the state.
