He made the remark at the closing ceremony of the orientation exercise of 2024 Batch A Stream 2 corp members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Wamakko local government area of Sokoto State.

The DG represented by the Sokoto State NYSC coordinator, Alhaji Usman Yakubu Yaro, gave a stern warning against engaging in criminal activities, adding that the corps members should uphold the good reputation of their families and that of the NYSC.

He said, “I urge you to sustain the spirit of patriotism, hard work, and resilience, which you imbibed during the orientation course.”

Ahmed also warned the corps members against night travel, saying that whenever it’s 6:00 pm they should cut off their journey wherever they are and look for designated safe places to spend the night.
