The director-general of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yusha’u Dogara Ahmed has warned corps members against defacing their NYSC uniforms and improper dressings.
He said anyone caught violating the scheme’s dress code or breaking the NYSC rules would be sanctioned.
According to a statement by the director, Press and Public Relations of NYSC, Eddy Megwa, the director general gave the warning while addressing corps members and camp officials at NYSC Imo and Enugu states orientation camps.
Ahmed advised the corps members to be disciplined in their conduct, embrace dignity of labour, adhere strictly to instructions and avoid all forms of negative youthful exuberance.
“Avoid unnecessary travelling. Prepare towards becoming self-dependent and use the opportunities of the service year to improve on yourselves,” he said.
NYSC lmo State coordinator, Mrs Rachael Idaewor informed the DG that the 820 males and 851 females corps members have acclimatized and integrated to camp activities.
