The paramount ruler of Iwoland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has commended the Chief of Defense Staff, General Christopher Musa, for defending Nigeria’s democracy.
Oba Akanbi said the leadership of the Nigeria’s Defense Headquarters under General Musa had reaffirmed Nigeria as the giant of Africa by coming out to expose saboteurs and defending the nation’s democracy.
He extolled the professional conduct of the Nigerian Army during the end bad governance protests despite the tense environment, describing the CDS as a hero of democracy and urged the federal government to honour him.
The traditional ruler also commended the Nigerian Air Force, Navy, Customs, the police and the protesters for an honourable outing, saying their peaceful synergy with very minimal damage was a manifestation of an advancing democracy.
Oba Akanbi who noted that the voice of the protesters was heard by the authorities, asked them to redirect the same energy to the growth of the economy by synergising with the government.
He expressed optimism in the greatness of Nigeria, which he said prompted his decision to leave the comfort of Canada and relocate to become a king. He said his throne serves as a functional platform to contribute to the greatness of Nigeria, according to a statement released made available to newsmen through his press secretary, Alli Ibraheem.
