Stakeholders of Obingwa West constituency in Abia State have commended the House of Assembly member, Erondu Uchenna-Erondu Jnr for delivering on his campaign promises.
The stakeholders and the leaders spoke with LEADERSHIP Weekend in Umuahia as the chairman of the House Committee on Public Service Matters marked his birthday.
Describing the legislator as a rare gem and a gift to his generation, they commended him for prioritising the welfare of the constituents and paying back to the society.
They said he had built houses for 45 indigent persons, trained and offered scholarships to less privileged youths from primary to tertiary levels and offered skills acquisition and empowerment to many others.
An elder statesman and a former chairman of Obingwa local government area, Isaac Ogbonna said Uchenna-Erondu had demonstrated and justified their confidence in him.
The area’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairman, Ahamefula Egbulefu stated that no legislator either at the state or federal level had delivered their pledges as Uchenna-Erondu had done.
One of the leaders of the constituency, Uche Nwandiko, said the committee chairman had continued to make tremendous impacts on the people and wished him more years ahead.
A legislator, Igodo Igwe, had earlier this year embarked on grading of rural roads across Obingwa, Osisioma and Ugwunagbo local government areas.
