A former commissioner for Information during the Peter Obi administration in Anambra State, Chief Maja Umeh has passed on.

Umeh joined his ancestors yesterday at the Emergency Ward of the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital (COOUTH), Amaku-Awka, Anambra State capital.

Besides some of his immediate family members, other prominent indigenes of the state who have gone to the hospital where his remains are lying in the hospital bed included, Prof Ken Nwogu, husband of the attorney -general and commissioner for Justice, Anambra State during the immediate past Chief Willie Obiano administration, Mrs Uju Nwogu.

Others who had visited the hospital LEADERSHIP learnt were some top officials of the incumbent state governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo.
