Osun State chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Dr Tosin Odeyemi, has criticised the statement credited to the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, claiming that the NNPP is dead in Nigeria.
Speaking with LEADERSHIP in Osogbo on Wednesday, Odeyemi wondered what could have been the rationale behind Ganduje’s assurance to his followers that the national leader of NNPP, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, would soon join APC.
Odeyemi, who described Ganduje as a leader who lacked empathy, noted that what is happening presently in some parts of Southern Nigeria should be a source of concern for Ganduje instead of daydreaming.
According to him, “How can a chairman of a ruling party under which hundreds of citizens are being maimed and kidnapped every day be proud of his party to the extent of boasting of attracting right-thinking individuals?
“APC as a party has disappointed Nigerians. Nothing is working under this party, and one Ganduje told his members that a visionary leader like Kwankwaso would join them.
“Ganduje’s feelers in Kano are probably deceiving him to grease their pulse because they know APC is not returning to rule that state again”.
Odeyemi advised Ganduje to stop hallucinating, adding that Kwankwaso is more knowledgeable than associating with the calibre of people presently in the APC.
