Kogi State governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has inspected ongoing projects in the Ankpa local government area under the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) initiative.
During the visit, the governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to development and praised the contractor, Mothercat Nigeria Limited, for its professionalism and efficiency.
Among the ACReSAL projects inspected wasa road construction contract now in its 11th month and has reached 80% completion. This project is expected to improve infrastructure and boost security and agricultural productivity by easing access to farmlands.
In addition to the project inspection, Governor Ododo commissioned several community development projects executed by Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims, the federal lawmaker representing the constituency.
These projects span water, education, and infrastructure initiatives, which the governor described as critical to reducing the burden on the state government and aligning with his administration’s development agenda.
Governor Ododo deeply appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s strong support for Kogi State through the ACReSAL project.
He also commended Hon. Halims for his grassroots-oriented leadership and contributions to development projects, stating that his efforts are reducing the workload of the state government.
The governor assured stakeholders that he is fully aware of the challenges faced by the people and will continue to monitor all projects to ensure quality delivery and value for public funds.
He reiterated his commitment to addressing developmental needs in the area, demonstrating his administration’s dedication to harnessing the benefits of ACReSAL for Kogi State’s development.
