OJ Wada Inducted As African Union Ambassador for Agenda 2063

Omojo Wada, a lawyer and serial entrepreneur, has been inducted as an Ambassador by the AU Agenda 2063 Ambassadorial Assembly.

Omojo Wada, known as OJ Wada, is the founder of Solohan & Co and the Solohan Foundation.

Speaking at the African Union Agenda 2063 Ambassadorial Assembly, Amb. Amara Thecla Orakwe, chairperson of the Nomination & Screening Committee, extended her “heartfelt congratulations” to Wada, welcoming him to the esteemed ranks of the AU Agenda 2063 Ambassadorial Assembly team.

She said, “The nomination recognizes Wada’s outstanding leadership qualities, diplomatic skills, and ‘unwavering commitment’ to the goals of AU Agenda 2063.”

The agenda, introduced in 2013, serves as Africa’s blueprint for economic and human development, encapsulating the vision of “The Africa We Want.” Agenda 2063 envisions an “integrated, prosperous, and peaceful Africa” driven by its own citizens and acting as a dynamic force in the global arena.

The AU Agenda 2063 Ambassadorial Assembly is a prestigious diplomatic platform that selects influential individuals to represent Africa globally.

As an Ambassador, Wada will advocate for policies and initiatives that support the Agenda’s objectives, both within Africa and internationally. Wada’s role will be pivotal in fostering “cross-border collaboration,” driving economic growth, and championing the interests of the African continent on the world stage.

The investiture and decoration ceremony for Wada’s ambassadorship was held on July 24 and 25, 2024, at the Army Resource Centre, Aso Drive, Abuja, Nigeria. This event also featured a National Transformation Conference and the unveiling of the Assembly.
