A House of Representatives candidate in the 2023 general elections in Oyo state, David Okanlawon, has applauded President Bola Tinubu, for nominating former deputy governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Abdulwaheed Adebayo as a minister of the federal republic of Nigeria.
Okanlawon in a press statement made available to LEADERSHIP, said the nomination of Adelabu and Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, is a true reflection of the president’s desire to turn the nation’s economy around.
He said, “The much anticipated Ministerial list was released a few days ago and it was a list that proves that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s promise and dedication to reinvigorate our country is true.
“The nominations that interest me are those of Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo of Ondo State and Oloye Adebayo Adelabu of Oyo State.
The latter, a gubernatorial candidate in the just concluded general elections is renowned for his prowess and experience in the finance industry.
“With a very rich curriculum vitae, Oloye Adebayo Adelabu was a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and that meant that he has served in various capacities in the finance industry to have merited such a position. He was recently conferred a National honor, titled; Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) by the Muhammad Buhari’s administration.”
“Summarily, Oloye AbdulWaheed Adebayo Adelabu merits his nomination from all angles and Oyo State is proud to have such a profile as her symbol of inclusiveness in the ‘Renewed Hope’ Agenda.”
Okanlawon, however, said Tunji-Ojo represented his host constituency in the best way possible and his performance has transformed not just his constituency but the dwellers of the constituency.
