Edo State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the September 21 election, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has pledged support for victims of the Jattu Market disaster in Etsako West local government area.

Four persons died on Monday morning during a rainstorm when some trees fell on them.

Okpebholo, in a statement signed by his legislative aide on media and communication, Godswill Inegbe, expressed his sympathy to those who died and the injured.

He called on the state government to live up to its responsibilities by assisting the victims now receiving treatment in hospitals and the families of those who lost their lives in the tragic incident.

The APC governorship candidate assured the people of Edo North Senatorial District and the families of the victims of his unwavering solidarity and goodwill during these trying times, noting that this painful loss of lives, homes and livelihoods remains a shared grief.
