The Oloro of Oro Kingdom in Irepodun local government area of Kwara State, Oba Joel Titiloye Olufayo II has congratulated the Alaafin of Oyo-designate, Prince Abimbola Akeem Owoade on his appointment.

Oba Olufayo also congratulated the entire people of Oyo Kingdom on the prince’s ascension to the throne of his forefathers.

In a personally signed statement, Oba Olufayo II expressed profound satisfaction with the selection and approval of Prince Owoade as the new Alaafin of Oyo, describing the development as a divinely orchestrated event that marks the dawn of a new era in Yoruba traditional leadership.

While commending the Oyo State governor, Engr Seyi Makinde and the kingmakers for conducting a seamless and transparent selection process, Oba Olufayo II noted that the new Alaafin, being a well-traveled and highly connected individual, possesses the requisite wisdom, vision, and determination to uphold and strengthen the historic legacy of the Alaafin stool.

“I wholeheartedly congratulate a dear royal friend, Prince Abimbola Akeem Owoade, a man of vision and resilience, on your approval as the new Alaafin of Oyo.

“Your confirmation as the monarch of this sacred and revered stool is a testament to your consistency, determination, and impressive track record, as well as the illustrious lineage from which you hail.
