The Oloro of Oro Kingdom in Irepodun local government area of Kwara State, Oba Joel Titiloye Olufayo II, has congratulated the Alaafin of Oyo-elect, Prince Abimbola Akeem Owoade, on his appointment.

He also congratulated the entire people of Oyo Kingdom on the prince’s ascension to the throne of his forefathers.

In a statement, Oba Olufayo II expressed satisfaction with the selection and approval of Prince Owoade as the new Alaafin of Oyo, describing the development as a divinely orchestrated event that marked the dawn of a new era in Yoruba traditional leadership.

While commending the Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde and the kingmakers for conducting a seamless and transparent selection process, Oba Olufayo II noted that the new Alaafin, being a well-traveled and highly connected individual, possesses the requisite wisdom, vision and determination to uphold and strengthen the historic legacy of the Alaafin stool.
