Following the success of Mo Abudu’s EbonyLife Studios film on human trafficking, Oloture, the story is coming to Netflix as a series.
In the series, Oloture, a young undercover journalist continues her cover as a streetwalker crossing the Benin Border. Her perilous journey will take her through the hostile lands of Niger and Libya, to the Mediterranean, as she desperately tries to find a way out.
According to Premium Times, Kenneth Gyang returns in his role as the director, with the old cast featuring Sharon Ooja, Omoni Oboli, Beverly Osu, Ikechukwu Onunaku, Stan Nze, Amarachukwu Ono, Bukola Oladipupo, Daniel Etim Effiong and Patrick Doyle reprising their earlier roles.
Similarly, Anikulapo is being serialized. The Kunle Afolayan and Golden Effects series is a spin-off of the Yoruba epic returns as a four-part series sequel, and will feature actors Sola Sobowale, Kunle Remi, Bimbo Ademoye reprising their roles, alongside Owobo Ogunde, Gabriel Afolayan, Lateef Adedimeji, Eyiyemi Afolayan, Uzee Usman, Oyinda Sanni and Taiwo Hassan.
