Olubadan-designate Oba Ladoja Arrives Ibadan For Traditional Rites

The Olubadan-desgnate, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on Monday, arrived Ibadan, the Oyo State for the commencement of traditional rites ahead of his installation as the Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Ladoja, a former Oyo State governor and one-time senator, was received by his supporters at the Ibadan end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, from where he made way to his Isale-Osi family house.

The next Olubadan’s arrival in Ibadan followed the expiration of 21 days of mourning for the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin.

Oba Olakulehin, who celebrated his 90th birthday on Saturday, June 5, 2025, joined his ancestors on Monday, June 7, 2025.

The funeral of the late Oba Olakulehin held recently, paving way for the commencement of the rites for the installation of the new Olubadan.
