Olubadan Elevates 34 Baales To Obas

Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II is expected to crown 34 Baales across the ancient town to royal majesties (Oba) on Friday.

The ceremony will hold at the Olubadan Palace, Oja’ba, by 10.00am.

The 34 baales to be elevated as Obas were domiciled across six local government areas in Ibadanland, including Akinyele, Ona-Ara, Egbeda, Ido, Lagelu and Oluyole.

Five new Royal Highnesses will emerge from Akinyele Local Government Area, including Oba Lasisi Akano- Onijaye of Ijaye; and Oba Ismaila Olasunkanmi Abioye Opeola-Oniroko of Iroko.

Others include; Oba Moses Olasunkanmi Akinyosoye- Onikereku of Ikereku; Oba James Oluyemi Odeniran- Alakinyele of Akinyele; and Oba Kareem Adigun- Onimoniya of Moniya.

From Ona-Ara Local Government Area will emerge six Royal Highnesses namely, Oba Adebowale Kamorudeen Adeyemi, JP-Oniladuntan of Laduntan; and Oba Mudasiru Musa-Alararo of Araro.

Others include; Oba (Engr.) Nureni Yusuf Adegbenro- Alajia of Ajia Moja Opo; Oba Muili Mosaderin- Ololosunde of Olosunde; Oba Yekini Obisesan-Alakanran of Akanran; and Oba Richard Adesokan Olunloyo- Ololunloyo- of Olunloyo.

From Egbeda Local Government Area are six Royal Highnesses: Oba Suleiman Akinsola Oladepo- Alajia of Ajia Adepoju Olorungbuji; and Oba Victor Sunday Okunola- Elegbeda of Egbeda.

Others included Oba Oyesola Oyerinde-Elerunmu of Erunmu; Oba Mudasiru Omodele Adebayo-Ololodo of Olodo; and Oba Saliu Oguntayo-Onisade of Isade.

Seven baales in Ido Local Government Area will be elevated as Royal Highnesses, including Oba Gbolagade Muritala Babalola- Onido of Ido; and Oba Olabamiji Ahmed Thomas- Akufo of Akufo.

Also from the local government area are Oba Raphael Adebayo- Olomi of Omi-Adio; Oba Dauda Omotosho-Alawotan of Awotan; and Oba (Alhaji) Wahab Olabamiji Okedina- Oloke of Okelade-Okin.

The remaining two Royal Highnesses from the local government area include Oba Raimi Bolarinwa Idowu- Alapete of Apete; Oba Dauda Salami-Onisiba of Siba.

From Lagelu Local Government Area are eight Royal Highnesses: Oba Arigbabuwo Muniru Adekunle-Onilalupon of Lalupon; and Oba Najimudeen Olalekan Bello- Onilagun of Lagun.

Others were Oba Adeboye Salako-Olofa of Ofa-Igbo; Oba Sabitu Oyetunde- Onile- Igbon of Ile-Igbon; Oba Adesina Basiru- Elejioku of Ejioku; and Oba Samuel Abiodun Folarin- Olorunda of Olorunda-Abaa.

Other Royal Highnesses from the local government area were Oba Ojo Victor Olajide Oyedepo Olabamiji- Ologburo of Ogburo; and Oba Tairu Ademola Akande, JP- Olodooba of Odo-Oba.

Similarly, three baales domiciled in Oluyole Local Government Area will be elevated and crowned as Royal Highnesses by the Olubadan of Ibadanland.

They include Oba Muritala Salami Olumini- Onidiayunre of Idi-Ayunre; Oba Yekini Olatunde- Onilatunde of Latunde; and Oba Tiamiyu Olubiyi Oladipupo-Alaba of Abanla.
