In a brief remark at his 68th birthday celebration organised by the Omoluwabi Progressives in Osogbo, the former Osun governor said his group is currently not in coalition with any group.

In his congratulatory message delivered by the commissioner for Inter-Party Affairs, Hon. Biyi Odunlade, Governor Ademola Adeleke described Aregbesola as a quintessential leader who has made a tremendous impact on society.

Also speaking, the Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Adeyeye Eniyan Ogunwusi, Ojajall, who was represented by Oba Adekunle Adebowale, Agbolu of Agbaje, Ile-Ife, described Aregbesola as not just a political figure but an institution of progressive ideology, a grassroots mobiliser, and an unapologetic defender of the masses.

The monarch noted that Aregbesola’s contributions to the enthronement of participatory democracy and infrastructural transformation in Lagos and Osun States remain glaring testimonies to his legacy.

Earlier, the chairman of Omoluwabi Progressives, Alhaji Issa Azeez Adesiji, described Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola as a leader worthy of emulation.

He pledged the support of members of Omoluwabi Progressives at home and in the diaspora to what Aregbesola stands for in Nigeria.
