Ijare Community in Ifedore local government area has drummed support for Gov Lucky Aiyedatiwa ahead of the November 16 governorship election in Ondo State.
The community said that the sterling performance of Governor Aiyedatiwa in less than a year in office in the state was evident and thus trusted to continue in office.
Aiyedatiwa visited Ijare during his campaign tour of the Ifedore local government area to seek the blessings of the traditional ruler of the town ahead of the poll.
Among different groups and individuals that welcomed Aiyedatiwa was the immediate past deputy national publicity secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC)-USA and a member of Diaspora Special Interest Campaign Council for Aiyedatiwa, Prince Adebanjo Adejuwon.
Prince Adebanjo Adejuwon, a son of late Prince Tayo Adejuwon, a renowned community servant, mobilised both the young and the old in the community to give Aiyedatiwa a rousing welcome during his campaign to the ancient town.
Dancing around the town in a branded vehicle and different election materials, Prince Adejuwon popularly known as a “double prince,” said a good track record of Aiyedatiwa was the reason for someone like him to support his campaign.
Earlier, the governor performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Ijare Central Market, a project aimed at boosting local trade and enhancing the economic landscape of the community.
