Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has appealed to voters in Ondo State to translate their support into voting for him during the November 16th governorship election in the state.
Govornor Aiyedatiwa of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) also assured that more impactful projects would be delivered if elected, stating that the current achievements of his administration so far are just the beginning.
Addressing a crowd of supporters that thronged the senatorial flag-off of his campaign in Ondo South with a rally held at Ore, headquarters of Odigbo local government area, Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude to the people for their overwhelming support.
While attributing the support of the people to the development his administration has brought in a short period, the Governor urged the people to turn their support into voting during the forthcoming election.
He said, “On November 16, I urge you to translate your support into votes for the APC, so we can keep moving Ondo State forward”.
The Governor added, “You haven’t seen anything yet, there are more developmental projects coming, and I am committed to transforming every part of this state.
“The APC remains a united, indivisible family, and every leader in our party is focused on a single goal which is our victory on November 16.”
In his remarks, a former gubernatorial aspirant and prominent APC leader, Chief Olusola Oke, expressed confidence in the party’s stronghold in the southern district ahead of the election.
“The South belongs to the APC, the people here know the governor’s track record, and they stand firmly with him. We will deliver victory for Governor Aiyedatiwa”, Oke pledged.
The Deputy Governor, Dr. Olayide Adelami, also reinforced the message of progress, urging the people to continue supporting Aiyedatiwa’s administration, which he described as focused on the welfare of the people of the state.
He emphasised that the governor’s leadership has brought unprecedented growth to the region, adding that more could be achieved with a full term in office.
Director-General of the Aiyedatiwa Campaign, Hon. Abiola Makinde, called on members of the APC to remain united and resist any distractions during the campaign.
“This election is about progress, and we cannot afford to lose focus. Governor Aiyedatiwa has proven his capacity to lead, and with your support, we will secure victory on November 16″, Makinde said.
