The member representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Otunba Timehin Adelegbe, has empowered over 150 youths in his constituency trained on fish farming with starter packs and N30,000.
Adelegbe also distributed over 500 sewing machines, 350 generators, 300 dryers, 350 motorcycles and 200 head dryers.
At a press conference in Akure, the Ondo State capital during, the lawmaker further disclosed that a cash grant of N20,000 to N100,000 was given to over 3,000 youths and market women in the constituency.
According to him, several projects, including school renovations, skill acquisition centers, and bursary awards for students, had been completed, while others were in progress.
Adelegbe further hinted that the briefing presents an opportunity for him to appreciate the trust and confidence reposed in him by the people and also to give account of his stewardship.
The legislator said, “We have constructed skill acquisition centers in different schools and many classrooms with solar-powered initiatives. We have distributed over 100,000 of improved Cocoa Seedlings, distribution of over 200 water pumps, distribution of over 2500 weed spraying pumps and chemicals to boost agriculture.”
He further highlighted progress in sports and healthcare, with the construction of two stadiums, a diagnostic centre and a new health facility in the two local governments.
He, however, assured constituents that all ongoing projects would be completed while new ones would be initiated to ensure no community was left behind.
While praising Adelegbe for his numerous developmental projects, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Engr Ade Adetimehin, said the party was proud of the legislator, describing him as a distinguished lawmaker who is interested in the welfare of his constituents.
