According to Okorie, the greatest need for the African continent is not just eradication of poverty but  empowering the mindset of the African person to first of all appreciate himself as somebody of value that can contribute to the society’s development.

The CEO of GOTNI stated these after receiving the award of, One of the 100 Most Notable Peaceful Icons in Africa, presented to him by the president, Peace Ambassador Agency Worldwide, Amb. Kingsley Amafibe in Abuja, yesterday.

Okorie said inspired by the recognition and honour, his Centre will organise an optimised mentor programme for 100 Nigerian youths while 100 students from 100 universities in Nigeria will be given the opportunity to understand the dynamics of leadership.
