Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has openly declared support for presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi in place of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
In a telephone conversation with our correspondent in respect of a video making rounds on social media where the governor publicly endorsed Obi/Datti and asked all his supporters to vote the LP candidate, the chief press secretary to the governor, Nathaniel Ikyur, said the endorsement took place in Makurdi.
He, however, debunked the insinuations that with this development, the governor had left the G-5 Governors and parted ways with the Governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike.
