Uchi is currently under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged misconduct including bribery and money laundering.

In a statement on Monday, OSGF’s Director of Information, Segun Imohiosen said the leadership of the office was not involved in the alleged misconduct for which the PA is standing interrogation.

The office reiterated its longstanding commitment to transparency, accountability, and integrity in all official dealings.

“The Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation is not in any way connected to the allegations against Hon. Andrew Torhile Uchi. We remain steadfast in our adherence to the principles of good governance and ethical conduct,” the statement read.

The OSGF also acknowledged the EFCC’s efforts in investigating the matter and in ensuring that those found culpable were brought to justice.

“We recognise and support the work of the EFCC in upholding the rule of law. However, we appeal to the public to refrain from drawing premature conclusions as the investigation is still ongoing,” the statement added.

The OSGF further commended the public for their understanding and support, assuring Nigerians of its unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity in government operations.
