Victor Osimhen is still experiencing pain but is expected to return to action soon, according to Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk.

Osimhen sustained an injury while on international duty with Nigeria last week and returned to Turkey immediately for treatment, with Galatasaray providing updates on their official website. The powerful forward missed the Yellow and Red’s 2-0 victory against Eyupspor on Saturday.

Buruk remains hopeful that Osimhen will be fit enough to face Eintracht Frankfurt in their opening UEFA Champions League match this week.

“Osimhen’s condition will be evaluated in the coming days. We are optimistic he will play; however, he is currently in pain,” Buruk told the club’s official website.

Galatasaray is set to face Eintracht Frankfurt away on Thursday.
