About 700 youths in Osun State have registered for the first ever creative seminar targeted at driving the state’s economic development.

Special adviser to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Mr Bamikole Omisore who disclosed this to newsmen in Osogbo yesterday stated that the seminar slated for January 28 to 30 will hold at the SDG Skills Acquisition Centre, Iragbiji.

He hinted that the programme would focus on Goals 8, 9 and 11 of the SDGs which focus on decent work and economic growth; industry, innovation and infrastructure as well as sustainable cities and communities.

He noted that the conference underscores the Adeleke-led administration’s commitment to fostering economic growth through creativity.

With the theme, “Innovate, Create and Transform: Unlocking the Creative Economy for Sustainable Development,” the event will highlight the significant role of creativity in driving economic growth and achieving sustainable development.

Omisore stated that the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, Agency on Creativity, Entertainment and Art, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, stakeholders, private sector leaders, and development partners were collaborating and working tirelessly to make the conference unique.
