Osun NOA Boss Restates Commitment To Engaging Citizens On Governance

The acting director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Osun State, Mr Adefarasin Adebiyi, has restated the commitment of the agency to ensure that citizens are duly informed and enlightened about the programmes and policies of the federal government.

Adebiyi gave the assurance when he paid a courtesy call on the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 11, Fred Ekokotu in Osogbo, Osun State.

The NOA director intimated the police chief on the various programmes being implemented by the agency to further carry out its civic duties and responsibilities.

He assured that every hand was on deck to make sure that all citizens are well informed about the programmes of the government.

Adebiyi emphasised that the agency is out to do more than ever to educate the general public on government’s activities.

He thanked the AIG for his open door policy and cooperation with NOA.

Responding, the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Fred Ekokotu, who noted the good job being done by NOA, assured them of the cooperation of the police .

Expressing concern about the growing rate of cultism among the youths, the AIG stressed the need for school outreach programmes to create awareness among the students of both primary and secondary schools on the dangers of getting involved in cultism.

Ekokotu promised the full support of the Nigeria Police Force to the staff and members of the agency in providing basic security support whenever it is needed.
