The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Osun State Command has carried out the decoration of 746 promoted officers in the command, as announced in a statement by ASC Adeleke Kehinde, the state NSCDC Spokesperson, on Saturday.

The decoration ceremony, which occurred on Friday, saw the elevation of personnel across various ranks: “Six Deputy Commandants of Corps, 33 Assistant Commandants of Corps, 36 Chief Superintendents of Corps, 120 Superintendents of Corps, 127 Deputy Superintendents of Corps, 295 Assistant Superintendents of Corps (I), and 129 Assistant Superintendents of Corps (II).”

According to Adeleke, the Osun State Commandant of NSCDC, Agboola Sunday, conducted the decoration ceremony at the state command’s headquarters in Osogbo.

The commandant praised the promotion as a recognition of excellence, dedication, hard work, loyalty, and discipline among the officers. He urged the newly promoted officers to consider their elevation as another step forward in their promising careers.

Sunday commended the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and the NSCDC Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Audi, for approving the promotion of 21,385 NSCDC members, stating that their actions have left an enduring mark on the Corps.
