Oyebanji Appoints Oyebode, Olanipekun Ekiti Varsities’ Chancellors

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has approved the appointment of chairmen and members of the governing councils of three tertiary institutions in the state.

The institutions are: Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti  and Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti.

The governor in a statement signed by his special adviser (media)  Yinka Oyebode  appointed professor of international law and jurisprudence, Akin Oyebode (SAN) as the pro-chancellor and chairman of Council of Ekiti State University, (EKSU), Ado Ekiti.

Other members of the governing council of the institution are, Professor Demola Omojola , Chief Bayo Awosemusi-Member, Dr. Israel Ovirhi, Arch Dipo Ajayi, Mrs Foluso Olaniyan.

The rest include Mrs Bunmi Akingba, Mr Rotimi Esho, Professor C.O. Kolawole and Alhaji Abdusalam Babatunde.

For Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti, legal luminary, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), was appointed chancellor while former EKSU vice chancellor,  Professor Dipo Aina emerged the  pro-chancellor and chairman of Council.

Members of the institution’s governing council are, Professor Dele Olowokudejo, Mr. S.I. Folorunso, Mr. Alaba Olusola Ibitoba, Mrs Iyabo Obasa, Chief (Mrs) Bola Fasuan, Dr. Isah Emmanuel Aileonokhuoya and Professor Sehinde  Oluwatosin.

Dr. Adedamola Dada is to chair the governing council of the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti.

Members of the council are Dr. Adebola Orimadegun, Dr. J. O. Oguntoye, Alhaja Muibat Akingbade, Prince Soji Agunbiade , Mr. Ilesanmi Simon Olugbenga        and Mr. Adetunji Kolawole.

He said the date for the inauguration ceremony will be announced later.
