Similarly, the governor has also approved the payment of two months’ pension arrears to local government pensioners.

This information was contained in a statement signed by the Special Adviser (Media) to the Governor, Yinka Oyebode and made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti.

This is coming barely a month after the Governor distributed a total N3.5 billion in gratuity cheques to retirees in the state, in a bold effort aimed at off-setting the backlog of outstanding gratuities.
Governor Oyebanji has also approved payment of two months’ outstanding subvention to Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, and one month’s outstanding subvention each to Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH), Ado-Ekiti; Bamidele Olomilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti; and College of Health Science and Technology, Ijero- Ekiti.
