The Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) has said the re-election of Ekiti State governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, reflects growing public confidence in the agenda of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the broader reform direction of the current administration.
In a statement signed by its director of Media and Publicity, Tunde Rahman, the group described the outcome of Saturday’s governorship election as a strong endorsement of the governor’s first-term performance and the policy framework of the APC at both state and national levels.
The organisation congratulated Governor Oyebanji on securing a second term, noting that the mandate represents the approval of Ekiti voters for what it called a “development-focused and people-oriented leadership style.”
RHA also extended commendations to key party stakeholders, including the South-west Zonal coordinator and the chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Chief Dayo Adeyeye; the Ekiti State coordinator; and all local government coordinators, for their roles in mobilising support during the election.
The organisation praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what it described as bold economic and governance reforms, stating that these policies have strengthened democratic institutions and created a conducive environment for political participation.
It further acknowledged the contributions of the director-general of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Imo State governor, Hope Uzodimma; deputy director-general, Kaduna State governor, Uba Sani and secretary, Gombe State governor, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, alongside other APC governors, for their coordination and political engagement ahead of the poll.
According to the statement, the Ekiti result demonstrates alignment between state-level governance and the APC’s national vision, particularly the “Renewed Hope” agenda.
The organisation said Governor Oyebanji’s first term recorded notable progress in infrastructure development, agriculture, youth empowerment, healthcare, and education, adding that the renewed mandate places greater responsibility on him to deepen reforms and expand delivery.
RHA further urged the governor to continue to govern in an inclusive and unifying manner, emphasising the need to consolidate peace and development across Ekiti State.
It also reiterated its commitment to mobilising support for the APC ahead of the forthcoming Osun governorship election and the broader political objectives leading into 2027.
The statement concluded with optimism that Ekiti State’s development trajectory would accelerate under Oyebanji’s second term, describing the outcome of the election as a signal of “continuity, stability, and confidence in the APC’s governance model.”
