Oyewumi Emerges NAPS New President

The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has elected Comrade
Festus Oyewumi of College of Agriculture Technical, Ibarapa, as its new National President.

The NAPS Convention Chairman, Comrade Ibrahim Mumini, in a statement announcing Oyewumi as the winner of the exercise, said the elections to elect new executive for the Association was successfully concluded at its national convention in Niger State on Sunday, February 2, 2025.

He noted that the convention witnessed the emergence of new executives to lead the association.

Among those elected according to the statement are: Festus Oyewumi, President, College of Agriculture Tech, Ibarapa, Usman Ibrahim Dende, Federal Polytechnic Isah, among other various leadership positions.

“The convention was conducted in a peaceful and democratic manner, reinforcing the commitment of NAPS to the unity, progress, and welfare of polytechnic students across Nigeria,” the statement added.
