LEADERSHIP gathered that the installation of the spikes will be replicated on other major roads in the capital city in the state government’s bid to prevent motorists from driving against traffic.

According to a video posted on X by @Oyoaffairs on Wednesday, the measure was emplaced “To prevent motorists from driving the wrong way on one-way roads, the Oyo State Government has started installing ‘One-Way Tyre Spikes.’ This one here is located along Idi-Ape.”

The iron spikes were designed to puncture the tyres of any vehicle attempting to drive against traffic.
