The incident, which residents in the area said happened on Thursday beside St. Thomas Catholic School, Oja-Agbe, Iseyin-Abeokuta Road, caused pandemonium as residents rushed to the place to identify the man.

It was gathered that the man had complained to some friends on Wednesday about an accumulated debt caused by sports betting.

The dangling body of the man was still on the tree on Friday, which indicated that his family were yet to be informed.

As of the time of filling this report, efforts to get more information from the Iseyin Divisional Police Division proved abortive as a police source, who craved anonymity because he’s not authorised to speak on the matter, said the case was yet to be officially reported at the station.
