Amid the ongoing conflict, the Palestinian Ambassador to Nigeria, Abdallah Shawesh, has called on Western countries to cease treating Israel like a grumpy, spoiled teenager.

He made this plea during a press conference in Abuja regarding the ongoing conflict between the two nations.

Abdallah emphasized that United Nations resolutions are vital tools that should apply to everyone, except Israel, which he claimed enjoys a special status.

According to him, “The most effective way to end this tragedy is for Western countries to stop coddling Israel as if it were a grumpy, spoiled teenager.

” Israel currently operates with impunity, conducting its activities without being held accountable.

Israel stands above international accountability, and Abdallah believes that if the international community starts treating Israel like any other state subject to international law, it could be the initial step towards resolving the conflict.

Expanding on his point, Abdallah noted that the UN Security Council, responsible for maintaining peace, appears to be paralyzed when it comes to addressing Israel.
