The Catholic Archbishop of Kaduna, Most Rev. Matthew Man-Oso Ndagoso, has tasked politicians with leadership by example.

The Archbishop noted with concern that Nigeria is in dire need of servant leadership.

Ndagoso said this during his sermon on Palm Sunday at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cathedral, Kaduna. He explained that Jesus Christ led by example and urged Nigeria’s leadership to do the same.

Ndagoso, the vice president of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria, said, “Our president told us to be patient and make sacrifices, and yet they are not making any sacrifices for the people.”

“We need leaders who will lead us by example and take risks for the sake of the people “.

Ndagoso, however, explained that Jesus took the risk of entering Jerusalem, knowing fully well that he would die, but he took the risks for mankind.

He also tasked the Federal Government to address the country’s hardship, insecurity and other challenges.

The metropolitan Archbishop of Kaduna urged Christians to persevere, adding that after suffering comes joy.

“Let us endure and follow Jesus Christ, no matter the challenges; carry your cross and follow Christ, for you shall not be put to shame”.

He, therefore, prayed to God to give Nigeria leaders who will lead by example.
