Party Vows To Return To Power In Imo, Picks Deputy Gov’ship Candidate

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Imo State chapter has named former federal lawmaker, Hon Jones Onyereri as the deputy governorship candidate for the November election.

PDP state chairman, Engr Charles Ugwu who made the disclosure at the party secretariat in Owerri, said the governorship candidate, Senator Samuel Anyanwu alongside Onyereri will clinch victory for the party and return it as occupier of Douglas House.

Onyereri, a former member of the House of Representatives, who represented Isu/ Njaba/Nkwerre/Nwangele federal constituency, is Anyanwu’s close ally..

He won the 2023 PDP senate ticket for Imo West (Orlu zone) before the supreme court nullified his nomination.
