Acting national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagum, has consoled the executive director of Administration and Finance, Dr Abubakar Garba Illiya over his mother, Hajiya Fatsuma Illiya’s death.
Damagum expressed deep sympathy with Garba Iliya and his family, acknowledging that the loss of a mother was irreplaceable.
He described her mother as a woman of virtue who played a significant role in shaping the lives of her children and those around her.
Damagum said the octogenarian has lived a fulfilled life and witnessed genealogy up to the fourth generation.
In his response, Dr Garba appreciated the visit and thanked the PDP chairman and his entourage for their show of support and prayers.
He reaffirmed his commitment to upholding the values of service and integrity that his late mother instilled in his life.
LEADERSHIP Sunday gathered that several dignitaries, including party officials, government representatives and community leaders, accompanied Ambassador Damagum on the visit.
