The Non Indigene Women Movement For A A Sule, a political pressure group supporting the Nasarawa State governor, has strongly condemned the recent nude protest by some women in the state following the March 18th Governorship and State House of Assembly elections. The group described the protest as a desperate and degrading tactic employed by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to achieve their political agenda.

The group further stated that the nude display was shameful and should not be encouraged in any way. They criticized the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, for justifying the protest and called his stance an attempt to seek attention and play to the gallery.

In a statement signed by its coordinator, Barr. Mrs. Ogbu Francisca, the group urged women not to demean themselves in such despicable ways for the benefit of politicians who only show up during election periods. The group emphasized that the election had met acceptable standards and had been praised by various stakeholders and observer groups.

The statement stressed that there are legitimate channels for contesting elections, and any politician who promotes or supports such a demeaning and condemnable conduct should be ashamed of themselves, as they are the true enemies of the people
