Perez Hilton Hospitalised After Disturbing TikTok Livestream Sparks Welfare Response

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton was taken to hospital on Tuesday, August 4, after authorities responded to a welfare call at his Florida home following a distressing TikTok livestream.

According to the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched after numerous viewers contacted emergency services out of concern for Hilton’s well-being during the livestream. When officers arrived, they found he was alone inside the residence.

A spokesperson for the sheriff’s office said that in situations involving a person experiencing a mental health crisis or possible self-harm, deputies focus on de-escalation strategies designed to reduce the risk of further harm.

“Unless there is an immediate threat to others, slowing the situation and utilising crisis intervention techniques can reduce the likelihood of a suicide-by-cop encounter and minimise the risk of injury to the individual, deputies, and the public,” the spokesperson said.

Following the livestream, videos circulating on social media prompted widespread concern among fans. However, authorities have not released further details about Hilton’s condition, and no additional information has been made public.
