The Katsina State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (KSPCAC) has apprehended Alhaji Muheeb Ibrahim Bamidele, a former permanent secretary of the Department of Banking and Finance and the current permanent secretary of the Local Government Service Commission, along with five others.

The arrests stem from allegations of misappropriating N136,126, 970 from the department’s account.

The commission, in a statement signed by the secretary, Jamilu Abdulsalam, said the case is currently under investigation to unravel the full extent of the fraud and ensure accountability. The commission assured the public of its commitment to upholding transparency and justice in public administration.

It added that this development underscores the Katsina State government’s stance on eradicating corruption and promoting good governance.
