Peter Obi Will Offer Credible, Effective Leadership – Asagba

The Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty, Prof Epiphany Azinge, has said former Anambra State governor and Labour Party presidential candidate in 2023, Mr Peter Obi, would offer credible and effective leadership at any time if given the opportunity.

He stated on Thursday when he received Peter Obi and his entourage at the royal palace in Asaba.

During the visit, HRM Asagba Azinge described Mr Obi as a long-standing family friend and brother of over 30 years.

The monarch, fondly referred to as Nna Agu, expressed appreciation to Peter Obi, fondly reffered to as ‘Okwute Igbo’ for finding time to visit the palace despite his busy schedule.

The traditional ruler praised Mr Obi’s character and leadership qualities, noting that “given the opportunity, Peter Obi will offer credible and effective leadership at any time.”

He described the visit as a testament to an enduring friendship and an honour to the Asaba people and the palace.

In his remarks, Mr Peter Obi thanked HRM Asagba Azinge for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage.

He explained that the visit was primarily to pay respect and show regard to the revered monarch.

Obi further described the Asagba as an outstanding elder statesman who has continued to work tirelessly for the development of the Asaba community, stressing that the monarch deserves the full support of the people to succeed in his leadership role.
